First off, I’ve created a web version of my prayer & support letter, which you can view here: spain-support-letter-web
I’m leaving for Spain in just over 3 weeks!
My mind knows it’s true but it isn’t really sinking in yet.
We’ve purchased my plane tickets, and I’m in the midst of making sure the rest of the trip-related details are sorted out. This is also the last week of my junior year of college, and there are final projects, presentations, and preparing for exams to finish up.
It could be a really overwhelming time – every day I recognize about 5 million things I could be anxious about. But praise the Lord, as I give each day up to Him, the “peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,” is indeed “guarding my heart and mind in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, paraphrased).
It is also a bittersweet time because so many wonderful things (like Bible study & my fun web design class with 4 students) have ended, but in the next couple of weeks, other exciting things are happening! I get to watch friends graduate from college, my sister graduate from high school, celebrate my 21st birthday, and then embark on this adventure!
But first, time to study for finals.
